Media Specialist as Program Administrator
Key Assessment: Media Center Handbook
Reflection
The Peer Facilitators' Handbook was created for the New Hampstead High media specialist. She needed an updated handbook, which I was able to create for her. Using what she had shown me of her peer facilitator program, and her previous handbook, I was able to make the updates, and make the handbook more visually pleasing and usable for students. Creating this handbook also helped me to see potential use of some of these strategies in my own media center.

Task 1: Grant Application
Reflection
The Doubles for Technology grant was written by myself and a group of teachers at Gould Elementary. The group met over the course of two weeks to establish the need for the school and area of potential growth. Together we wrote this grant in hopes of attaining a suitable electronic program to help in the area of reading, and gave teachers a tool for RTI data collection and interventions.

Task 2: Georgia DOE 2013 Media Program Evaluation Rubric
Reflection
During my practicum, my supervising media specialist and myself sat down to evaluate the state of the media center. Using the 2013 GA DOE Library Media Program Evaluation Rubric, we rated the media center in relationship to each standard. Once each standard had been assessed, my supervising media specialist asked me to brainstorm ways to make the media program stronger, and create this memo.

Public Service Announcement: Keep our Library Clean
Reflection
During my practicum, my supervising media specialist asked me to create this short video teaching students how to reshelve books and keep the media center clean. Just as in the digital video assessment displayed in the role of teacher, a script and storyboard was written, and then the video was shot. This video is displayed in the program administrator section since the content pertains to maintaining the media program.
